All DPs undertake a thorough risk assessment when being booked into custody.
There are Health Care Professionals (HCPs) in each of our custody suites and if the DP has a medical issue or feels unwell then they will be seen by the HCP.
DPs are also asked if they take any medication. If they do and require the medication whilst in custody, then arrangements will be made for either someone to bring it to custody for them or we will endeavour to collect it for them.
