Do you have an interest in ensuring that Cheshire Police operates with integrity and transparency?
Then why not consider becoming a member of the Police & Crime Commissioner’s and Chief Constable’s Ethics Panel, a forum for independent review of ethical issues within policing. As a Panel member, you will consider a number of ethical issues, such as use of force and stop & search at each meeting, reporting back to the Commissioner and Chief Constable on your findings with a view to providing reassurance on the way policing is delivered to the diverse communities of Cheshire.
If you are interested, we are looking for independent members to sit on the Panel, which will meet 2-3 times a year, at the Police Headquarters in Winsford. Although the role is unpaid, all reasonable travelling expenses will be paid.
Further information about the role including the draft terms of reference for the panel, and the role specification, application form and diversity monitoring form, can be found in the documents below.
