Name of Officer: Constable Andrew Hein
Date of Hearing: 22 October 2026
Venue: Cheshire Constabulary Headquarters, Clemonds Hey, Oakmere Road, Winsford, CW7 2UA
Allegation One
On the 13th of December 2025, Constable Hein visited a Registered Sex Offender with a colleague. During the visit, he identified that the offender had been using an unregistered tablet capable of accessing the internet, contrary to the conditions of a Sexual Risk Order.
Constable Hein failed to take appropriate action in response to this breach and subsequently made false entries relating to the visit on a police system. Doing so was dishonest and a failure to carry out his duties and responsibilities diligently
The Accelerated Misconduct Hearing found the allegation proven and determined that Constable Hein’s actions amounted to Gross Misconduct. Constable Hein was dismissed without notice.
