Constable Reeves maintained an undisclosed association with a convicted sex offender and provided a dishonest account during the investigation.
His actions breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in relation to Honesty and Integrity, Orders and Instructions, and Discreditable Conduct, and risked undermining public confidence.
The hearing found that his conduct amounted to Gross Misconduct and had he not already resigned former Constable Reeves would have been dismissed
His name will be placed on the College of Policing Barred List, preventing future employment in policing or law enforcement.
