An investigation has been launched after fifty people were evacuated from their homes following a major fire in Warrington.
At 5.28pm on Monday 2 June, emergency services were called to a fire at a block of flats in Marsh House Lane in Warrington.
Fifty occupants of the flats were evacuated by firefighters and assessed by paramedics at the scene. Thankfully, there were no reports of any serious injuries.
Police remained in attendance at the scene throughout the night and assisted with road closures in the area.
A joint investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched, and officers are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

“We’re working closely with our partners at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service to establish the cause of the fire and would urge anyone with any information which may aid our investigation to get in touch.”
