Officers have charged a man with several offences following an incident in Widnes.
Justin Sheridan, of no fixed address, was arrested at around 1am on Thursday 5 February.
The 36-year-old has since been charged with rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and criminal damage.
Sheridan appeared Warrington Magistrates’ on Friday 6 February, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 6 March.
The charges relate to an incident that occurred in the Baron’s Close area of Widnes on Thursday 5 February.
