Man charged following offences in Northwich

A man has been charged with criminal damage and assault in Northwich.
Peter Bebbington was arrested on Monday 20 July 2026.
The 41-year-old, of Nantwich Road, Crewe, has since been charged with two counts of criminal damage, one count of intentional suffocation and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 22 July 2026 where he was remanded in custody until a hearing at Chester Crown Court on Wednesday 19 August 2026.
The charges relate to reports of an assault on a woman in the Northwich area on Monday 20 July 2026.
