Being a police constable means no two days are the same. Another shift, another incident. Thanks to their training and the support they receive as part of the Cheshire Constabulary family, our officers have the confidence to deal with whatever the next call brings.
It could be a burglary, a missing person, a sudden death, public disorder and many more occasions where people need the reassurance that police officers provide.
You will also have a key role in guiding and protecting victims or witnesses who may well have had a distressing experience.
To handle all these demands effectively, officers must have empathy – understanding the points of view of a diverse range of communities and to address their particular needs.
