Grappenhall and Thelwall

Residents reported concerns about males acting suspiciously in the Grappenhall area.

Residents raised concerns about ongoing shoplifting offences affecting businesses in Grappenhall and the impact this was having on the local community.

Officers attended the area and quickly located the individuals concerned. Searches resulted in a small quantity of drugs and cash being recovered, with two male subsequently arrested and remanded while further enquiries continue.

Officers have actively investigated reported offences, resulting in a number of offenders being identified, arrested and charged. Enquiries remain ongoing to locate an outstanding suspect.
In one notable case, a male left the county believing he had avoided responsibility for his actions. Working with colleagues from Thames Valley Police, officers located and arrested him, and he has since been charged and will return to Cheshire to appear before the courts. Our team remains committed to tackling retail crime and supporting local businesses.
