You shared concerns regarding anti-social behaviour and the dangerous speed of e-bikes and e-scooters across Great Sankey.
Issued 01 May 2026
Our Neighbourhood Officers conducted targeted patrols in both uniform and plain clothes. As a result, we seized three e-bikes that had been illegally modified to run on a throttle without pedalling—one of which was clocked at over 22mph. Because these modifications classify the bikes as motor vehicles, they require a license and insurance, which none of the riders held. All three bikes were seized and the riders were reported for traffic offences.
