Can we do anything about the parking situation on Secker Avenue.
Issued 29 July 2026
After numerous complaints and liaising with residents and the local college, the college have been putting it up on the screens to remind students to park responsibly and consider local residents. Residents are reminded that unless there are parking restrictions there is no legal remedy against a vehicle which is road legal and parked in a manner that is the same as other residents. It would be impossible to police or justify taking action against one vehicle without considering other vehicles and streets which will inevitably target residents vehicles as well.
