This summer, we will be visiting communities across Cheshire to share safety advice, start important conversations and help residents understand what support is available to help stay safe.
Our Summer Safety Roadshow will bring together policing teams, specialist staff and partner organisations to talk about personal safety, consent, healthy relationships, domestic abuse support and wider community safety.
The roadshow is designed to be interactive, welcoming and useful for people of all ages - whether you want advice, support, resources, or simply want to take part in one of our activities.
Summer is a busy time across Cheshire, with more people visiting town centres, parks, events and nightlife areas. It is also a time when some risks can become more visible, including harassment, vulnerability linked to alcohol or social settings, domestic abuse and concerns around personal safety.
We want to use this opportunity to speak to people before harm happens - helping communities recognise risk, know where to get support and feel more confident having conversations about safety, respect and healthy relationships.
At each roadshow, you can expect a mix of practical advice, interactive activities and support information.
Consent conversations:
Take part in our spin-the-wheel challenge, red and green flag game and myth-busting activities. These are designed to start conversations about consent, respect, boundaries and healthy relationships.
Personal safety:
Speak to officers and staff about practical steps you can take to help keep yourself and others safe. Free safety resources may also be available at some events.
Support and advice:
Partner organisations and specialist teams will be available to provide information about domestic abuse, Violence Against Women and Girls, reporting routes and support services.
